Overall I’m happy with how it turned out. Bed will get a second coat. I achieved the razor crisp sharp lines I was hoping for. Not a spec of overspray!!!! Now it sits for 5-7 days to cure and we will put the body on the frame.

I’ll get some more pictures but we got the body on the frame today. I was a nervous mess.

Also got the axles, transmission and transfer case full of fluids while I had the body off and got the old square plugs replaced with stainless allens. The manual calls for “cotton picker oil” in the ball end of the front axle.

Are those Birfield joints? I wouldn't have thought that IH was that sophisticated in the 1960s.

Nah they’re just ujoints. You might be able to zoom in enough to see them. (This is the same axle btw)
Kinda funky u-joints with no seals

I was going through some of the earlier photos of this build. We had everything sand blasted. we were surprised to find so much weld slag still on the welds from the factory.
I’m guessing in 1964 they were stick welding by hand. Can any old guys verify? :Big Laugh:

bad welds are common, you would be surprised what I see on new cars. My son's 69 Nova had more weld off the seam than on, all robotic welded. It also had porosity in every weld.
