First time outside in the sun....front clip still nèeds cutting and buffing. ALOT of blemishes show up in good light. If your painting make sure you have really good light in your garage....it's not perfect AT ALL but it's better than the 34 year old beat up maintenance truck I started with. Body was REALLY beat up - the trifecta -dings ,wavy panels, dent city . I gave up trying to make it perfect. It's all one color at least ....my first attempt and last paintjob ... It's what me and my friends would call an 8 footer lol.....

More power to you for the attempt. It looks like success to me.
Tx Eric .....it was just ALOT more work than I ever figured. I dont know how body shops today make any money . Frankly I gave up trying to make it perfect and refused to spend 100's more hrs sanding and guide coating - resanding -trying to get panel waves and imperfections out ....live with the flaws I finally convinced myself - its not a show truck lol....

Doesn't matter what others think, if you're happy then that's all that matters. Trucks are for enjoying.

Even though I taped up the engine compartment while spraying the truck I guess paint Vapor bounced off the floor and got all over the engine bay aaaargh ....oh well looks like I will have to do some of the engine painting over.....

Getting ready to start back on my engine and wanted to confirm it's a 5.3 vs 4.8 ....4.8 had flat tops 5.3 has dished pistons. I do have a 5.3 so I'm happy although the 4.8 is only a lil behind in the HP dept. when built exactly the same as a 5.3. These pics are from the $32 5.5 mm wifi borescope I bought off Amazon for my android phone. Simply inserted in the spark plug hole.
