@yevgenievich they emailed me back and said “they couldn’t find my truck on the list” for abs bleed.
I’ll wait and see if you can get yours to work before I write it off.
I will check tomorrow, it worked fine for crank offset but never tried to see if it works with abs bleed on 97. Used it on newer vehicles for abs bleed functions

I have the mt2500 and it works. As I recall the G just has a graphing function over what the mt2500 has so theoretically you should be good to go.
Heck yea, would you mind sharing with me what modules and accessories you have with yours? I’ve used a scan tool with keys once… 15 years ago…

My MTG2500 with a 6.2 software cartridge would auto-bleed the ABS on my '03 Trailblazer.

It would NOT auto-bleed the ABS on my '97 K2500.

A Solus Pro with 8.2 software was the same--worked on the '03 TB, did NOT auto-bleed the '97. I'm making an assumption that since the '97 ABS module couldn't be auto bled with the earlier software, other vehicles using that same module also can't be auto-bled. But I haven't tried other vehicles besides mine.

Both of them ('2500 6.2 and Solus Pro 8.2) could read ABS speed sensors, read ABS codes, and other ABS functions--but no auto-bleed on the '97. ABS functions required Personality Key K-9.

A Solus Pro with 14.2 software and Personality Key K-25 (I think) CAN auto-bleed the '97. I have heard--but not confirmed--that the auto-bleed for '97 was added in a major software upgrade for 2010 (10.x software.) The newest-available software for the MT/MTG2500 is 9.x, so I don't think ANY '2500 is going to auto-bleed a '97. I tried PK K25 in the '2500 and the Solus Pro 8.2, but no luck.

The MT/MTG is bi-directional. I could make the gauges swing from one end of the scale to the other on my '03 Trailblazer, turn the instrument panel lights on and off, turn the Damned Daytime Running Lights on and off, I could force AIR to the exhaust manifolds or bypass to the air cleaner on my '88 K1500, force "Limp Home" mode on the '88...The amount of options for bi-directional control are limited by the on-board computer and the software revision you're using on the scan tool.

My MTG2500 wouldn't boot if the temperature was even cool. Had to put it on the floor under the heater duct to get it to fire up. I was looking at upgrading to a newer/better scan tool even before I spilled gasoline on the poor thing, and solvent-welded the cartridge in place. The Solus, Solus Pro, Solus Ultra, Solus Edge, and the current model Solus Legend are DEFINITE UPGRADES from the '2500 series. The 2500s were state-of-the-aftermarket-art...in 1988. They were Danged Good into the early--mid '90s. But with such limited speed and zero or limited graphing capacity, they're totally outclassed for professional use, they're no longer the "hot tip" for even hobby use. OTOH, I still say a dedicated PROFESSIONAL-GRADE scan tool beats hell out of most consumer-grade and software-plus-laptop solutions.

Go Solus or newer (Solus Pro, Solus Ultra...) if you can, and the newest software you can get because there's no updating the software on Solus, Solus Pro, and probably Solus Ultra. Snap-On has discontinued support for those models. NO repairs, NO updates, NO anything. Far as I know, Solus Edge and of course Solus Legend still have support and updated software.

Did not pull up bleed on my 97, but I did not have have stock ecu. It did pull the vin and info from modules. I know it works for crank offset and other engine data fine.

@Schurkey thank you for all the detailed info. Snapon deciding to make the solus obsolete must be why my guy wanted $2500 to update the one I had a few years ago. My Mac guy gave me way to much money for it towards a big toolbox.

With regards to ABS auto-bleed I can confirm that this works on my 98 Z71:
