Got my rear end back this morning. Hopefully they did it right. I pulled the cover to check it out, looks/feels legit. Little noise when rotating the yoke, but may be because there's no weight or anything bolted to it. I called them and they said if anythings wrong they'll take care of it when its been installed in my truck.
Anyways, spent today doing both sides of brakes. New shoes, drums, hardware, adjusters, along with wheel cylinders.

Here's where I'm at right now. My truck is southern about to see its first winter, and I got 3 years of fluid film under it. Took me 40 minutes to unbolt everything including the brake lines that were cake. My old 10 bolt is like a baby toy compared to the 14 bolt.

Nice! Be sure to use brand new u-bolts and axle plates and now is a good time to replace the leaf spring retainer bolt.

So I got the front diff and rear end all bolted in and full of fluids. Just gotta put the u joint in the rear shaft with new delco straps, and bleed the brakes. E brake cables gave me grief, had to mess with the adjuster which barely helped but the e brake works, all that matters.

Please don't tell me that you have those 3 Ton Jack Stands on cinder blocks supporting your vehicle to extend their reach (An accident waiting to happen). Because you can't afford to have 6 Ton Jack Stands or more supporting it. (Please let Santa know so he can go pick you some up at HF, that way you will be around for next Xmas). Excuse the rant and rave part of teaching Auto Shop for some 30 fricken years and always telling my students work related horror stories and the necessity to always work safely, if they care to be around for their love ones!
