I’d like to introduce my 3 gmt400 trucks I have accumulated over the last year.

First is my 1997 Chevrolet K1500 ECSB.
It has the 5.0l so its my gas saver!
I got this from an older fellow who purchased it new in 1997.
I have the original window sticker and all maintenance records from new, totaling around 17k $
It need a a couple little things to be perfect but it isn’t too far off.

Next is my 1997 GMC K3500 CCLB
This truck is 1 of 3 I got in a deal recently. It’s had a rough life but it’s a beast of a truck and I’m going to continue giving it a rough life.
It’s going to get some much needed maintenance and then I’m gonna put a plow on it and use it in the winter for snow removal and in the summer for yard work and any hauling I need to do.
It’s got the 454, 4l80e, BW4401, 14bolt combo
Only 145k miles so hopefully the drivetrain isn’t too worn out.

It has a gooseneck hitch in the bed and it used to have a huge transfer tank in the bed that took up the whole front section of the bed. Judging by the wear on the overload pads on the real leaf springs, this truck has spent a lot of time on those overloads.

Last but not least, is the project.
It’s a 1993 Chevrolet K2500 SCLB
6.5l turbo diesel, Nv4500

It’s a project because both the engine and transmission need attention.
I’m obviously keeping the nv4500 but I’m not sold on the diesel.
I live in California so this truck is a little special in that it doesn’t require smog.
So I can put any engine I want in it.

The engine has one cylinder low compression and the transmission has some issues.
I’ve driven it around the block a couple time and it drives awesome. Feels like a real truck.

This truck may be a future DD or a future work truck or who knows what.
It needs a dashboard too so if anyone has a grey dash sitting around let me know.

So right now
The DD is running good
Needs the inner drivers door handle replaced.

The work truck is in the middle of a fuel pump change and then a fluids change and it should be good to go.

The project needs a lot and I will likely wait until spring/summer to start any real work on it.

So these are my gmt400’s

Thanks for sharing. Out here Diesels don’t have emissions either, and once the 25 year rule got above 1995 and end of obd1 they quit doing smog tests for anything 25 years or older.
make sense they are so beloved in Cali if they don’t have to jump thru hoops every year.

I wish we had the 25 year rule here.
In California it’s 1975 for gas engines and 1997 for diesel engines, that year or older don’t need smog checks.
