Looks good man. I’m Intrested in the harness magic you mentioned at the beginning of the thread. I’m not really sure where my coils get wired in at, but I really like the idea of having the factory injector connector laying around spliced into a common connector to be able to swap back without a lot of messing around. I see injector harnesses from Holley, but I’m not sure how to reference the main connector used in order to look for a mate to fix to the truck harness. Do I go back to pull a part for some factory connectors? I’ve sorta had it with pull a part. They want 65$ for a D585.

Also I’m pretty sure you said Tri y’s. Where did you get tri y’s? I called thorleys and they were very kind with a simple no. Sweet headers for these things seem to be more elusive than the marine intakes

Mine are Express Van, Bus, Cut-away box truck headers that Doug Thorley made. About the only place that carried them in 2013 when I bought them was Amazon of all places. I am not sure they even make those any longer. The vans were always cracking manifolds.

Once I found the harness and had it in hand, I searched the markings and found who made the connector. Amazon had a whole set of them for the price of one. Looks like that AEM harness has gone from $20 to $130 though. Was a steal when I bought it. They actually list that oddly spaced harness as a Ford and the evenly spaced one for GM. I have the matching one in even spacing if I ever were to go LS which I doubt.

I found someone that still list the old pricing. Whether they will honor that price, no idea.

This is the connector kit I bought. The 12 pin male mates to the AEM harness. I used the 12 pin female on the OE spider plug. I can pull the plenum, fuel rails, injectors and throttle body as one unit.

I bought my 0411 from black bear. In the purchase questionnaire the cam was mentioned, but I hadn’t acquired an intake at that time, so I’m guessing it’ll have to go back for that adjustment. I’ve never tuned, nor do I have efi live. I was hoping to at least be able to drive it enough with a recording device to give black bear the true perspective. As of now they are my only tuning support. I also put in the form that I had long tube headers. My search for those has come up to the hookers, or the stainless works. The SW are specific to the extended cab wheelbase, and at 1800 bucks I’m not confident enough to gamble. They would be non returnable
It will run, it will just be a little rich with 28 lb/hr vs 23.1 lb/hr of the stock spider. Hopefully he can send you the Autocal with the injector size already changed. Ask for ~50% more wall to impact factor @ 100 kpa, then interpolated to the 20 kpa line. Worked very well for me whe. The intake was on the 350, without stumbling and even backfiring when the engine is cold. Its the only way I know to get it enough fuel to prevent an extremely lean spot as the throttle opens. Without that change it is about like trying to drive a carb with an accelerator pump that is inoperative. The marine injectors spray on the port floor of the intake vs the back of the intake valves, requiring more AE.

Re-sealing head bolts now. Standard GM lifters already in place. Standard lifters reduced my cranking compression from 230 psi to 215 psi when I checked it while the engine was still on the stand. I knew 230 might be a stretch, the later IVC with the standard lifter drops both dynamic compression and will provide a bit of internal EGR from the added overlap. Both of which should allow me to run a more aggressive timing curve and give me that lopey idle we all enjoy.
