They got a whole buncha stuff I haven’t seen in a long time. Cool seeing autoloc still in business
I remember the Anglias and 100e prefects way back when I was a kid, those bonnets could do some serious damage to you in a collision. I remember they changed the regulations on newer cars so that they had a catch, or hook system, so the bonnet would get caught if it lifted and moved back and would crease in the middle instead saving the drivers face.

The rear sliding latches will not let the hood come up without it sliding forward first.
Yeah, it looks like it'd have to fold in the middle before it would pop up.

I don't understand the desire for a hood hinged at the front. It eliminates 1 of 3 sides for me to work from.
It's not that I'm referring to.
A rear hinged hood is anchored at the rear and designed to fold in the middle in a frontal impact. Even if not designed to fold, it is pretty securely anchored at its rear edge. It's almost impossible for it to get near the screen let alone through it.
A forward hinged hood relies on whatever anchors it at its rear to prevent it being punched through the screen in a frontal impact. Unless this kit addresses that, it will be nothing more than the latch that restrains it.
If the worst came to the worst and an occupant was injured don't expect the insurance company to recompense - unless they'd been made aware of the modification in advance.
A front tilt is secured by latches in the rear which require it to slide forward a couple of inches before it can go up. In the event of a frontal impact this can't happen, the hood can't tilt up, and it will fold in the middle.
