You're in less-traveled territory than most as not many drop their 8 lug trucks, static anyway, these days. Keep in mind the spring packs are the same width 1500 thru 3500 (with exception of the totally different 3500HD trucks) just a thicker pack.

I say get the flip kit that is for your application, see where you end up on the drop with just the flip, and adjust from there to your liking. Stock, your 8 lug 2500 sits considerably higher than my 6 lug 2500 would, so it's hard to advise ahead of the fact what you need to do to get where you want to be with the amount of drop.

Thank you, Richard. I will take your advice and will probably call Belltech sometime soon to see what the difference is between the two kits, just to verify before purchase. Appreciate the help.

Have you considered a leaf spring pack from a half ton truck and adding helper bags?
No, I had not considered that, I think I can make it work with the existing leaf pack. I found the correct belltech kit and that DC fab notch. @CATman got me thinking my choices over and I like some of the Tin Works Fabrication parts. I'm going to look at them as well.

Mine is a DJM bolt in c notch looked just like first option you showed. With a 5/7 drop and I have never bottomed out. Have pulled many vehicles and load of dirt many times. 3rd pic is with dirt, I think it was just 2 scoops and don't remember the weight

A notch is a notch. As long as you have clearance for travel shape doesn't matter.
The offerings from DJM, Belltech, and others are tried and true, the issues (like DJM having shìtty powder coat for example) are well known.
I'm curious if DJM fixed the powder coating issue, I've read post from different sources the majority was around 2014 and earlier.

I ask cause the suburban has a DJM kit on it since 2018 and I have no issues with the coating, nor the stuff on my 400s

The silver hammer tone pc was junk, but it was a trade off because other than Chisholm control arms, DJM was the only other company making them at the time. The newer black pc seems to be ok.
