Second reply to another question. Let’s say I choose the 47in spring kit what would be my minimum height to go down to 35s and look good. I have my 3in body, so do you think a 3in kit with 0in lift springs would be enough? It’s kinda funny that I spent a lot to sit tall on 40s and 14 wides to wanna go back to 35s and a practical lift size.
I’ve always thought that 33”=4” and 35”=6”.
You’re gonna get 3” from installing the brackets plus your 3”body lift so you should be good. might have a little bit of trimming but not like trying to stuff a 40 on 9”

Happy thanksgiving . Update on the 14 bolt is still about the same. So far I got the rotors, calipers, pads, new brake lines. Next thing will be taking the 10 bolt out and moving the spring perches on the 14 bolt.

Also decided get the crew cab out (not related to the build) to throw on some shocks and do some front work on.

My truck is 1998 gmc 1500 4x4 with a current setup of 6in rc lift and 3in body lift with Reallift torsion bar drop brackets delete kit. Tire and rim setup is 40x15.50 and 24x14. So far I done 4.88 gears in the rear and the engine and trans are stock.
I’m slowly getting parts together for my sas build. I got my hands on a 1 ton Ford Dana 60 king pin high pinion front diff with 36.5 springs centers. Looking for a 14 bolt rear in to swap the rear right now. First thing I’m trying to get a good understanding of is choosing the length of the front springs. Which is better 47” vs. 52” springs. I’m thinking of going with a 6in lift springs with ORD bracket kit to give me around 9in of lift plus my 3in body I have now.
