My First SAS build

I do have a question for my 14 bolt rear. I know it’s bigger in dimensions and will that make a big difference in needing the rear driveshaft shortened a little or will it be fine? Also what’s better changing the yoke to keep the stock u-joint, or change the u- joint to a conversion u-joint to use the bigger yoke on the 14 bolt?

Might to have to do anything to the driveshaft, wait till it's in, get the height where you want it n go from there. I'd change the yoke on the driveshaft, but I'll be in same boat as you eventually with my Yukon, and prolly go with a conversion joint.

Picked up the 8 lug rims I need and the tires are a bonus. Tires are some wore out 35in toyos and rims are factory dodge 17s. I test fitted them and they fit both the 14 bolt and d60. But I think the rim wasn’t sitting too flat against the d60 hubs. Didn’t tighten them down with lug yet. Waiting on set of 9/16 lugs to come in.

Suspension depends on what you are using the truck for. 47s are stiffer but have a lot better on road manners. 52s will ride great but produce a lot of body roll and movement unless you want to add a sway bar. Neither set up will really compare to IFS. When my truck was my daily, the 47s were great on road. Now that it’s a trail rig, I wish I would have went 52s. I compromised with a sent of ORD custom 47s that I’m happy with. With your lift height, I’d consider 47s.
Driveshaft will have to be shortened a little due to the bigger pumpkin. Keep the 1350 joints and yolk from the 14b. You can do a conversion joint if you want to 1310/1350. Swap the yolk from a strap style to a u-bolt style.
I’ll like your front grill too, pretty unique man!

Thanks man for your input. It’s been a lot to think about to picture in my head. Lately I been leaning towards the 47s and I’m not gonna stay at my current heights. I been really liking the idea going down to 35s-37s from the 40s and a more functional look. So with the bigger 14 bolt bigger than the 10 bolt there’s not enough room for the rear slip Yoke to slide in to the transfer case? And Tindust grilles been awesome company to work with.

Can an offset plate from off-road design be an option to use to offset the my bigger rear end?

Those plates are for recentering the axle after a shackle flip. A stock spring won't move it too much, but if have lifted springs then it can move a decent amount. Those plates only move the axle up to 1.5".

The Yukon is gonna be more of a driver, the 2000 I'm thinking of turning into a wheelin' truck, since it needs lil body work and paint. But I've had another truck that was SAS'd, went from 40s down to 36s, then back up to 40s. It was stupid hi when first built it, then used 4" 47s and had a real nice stance, then put 8" springs and cut outs with the 40s. Looked killer. But, the box was 6', and was a pain to get in n out.
