I was thinking about where should I post this so, here goes (bear with me, it may be hard to follow)...
Back in 2000 I went to work for Werner Ladder in Merced CA. After Home Depot went to Mexico and China we lost ~$60M in sales that year. Before that, I was a NASCAR fan in the 80s and 90s (short quarter drags in the 70s). When we moved to the Phoenix area, I got interested in NASCAR again since we lived fairly close to PIR Raceway in Avondale. I flew my son in and we did the November weekend. While wandering around the team trucks, I decided to buy a Jimmie Johnson jacket and hat, sponsored by Lowe's (even today I hate going to Home Depot), my son went with Dale JR and AMP Energy.

Fast forward to 2022, I saw on NASCAR Race Hub Jimmie Johnson was promoting his new book "One More Lap by Jimmie Johnson and the 48". I preordered it and it showed up the other day. It goes back to when he 1st started racing dirt bikes and up to open wheels. It has pictures of all the rides he had including when he ran Endurance trucks at the age of 16, guess what he drove, and wrecked all the time?

My theory is, it doesn't have to be pretty, if it runs, starts, stops, etc. as it should. Been running ours wounded since the wreck; scheduled to go into the shop next month.

Leeroy does get a lot of looks when I roll thru town. Lil kids love it even when the old rotted fenders were still on.
