Bought a low-prio, "do it when I have the need to get dirty-project" a few months back, 1991 K2500, extended cab, 6-lug, 370 000 km (230 000 miles).
The plan for it is to have it as a too loud and big thing to go to the beach in, move stuff, and hopefully introduce the V8-facination to the kids before all is electric...

So now I am starting to get to things that are easier if someone hold my hand during the operation.. (or done it , photographed it and posted it, whatever works..)
So I have to thanks everyone who show good how-too´s and post manuals, priceless!

Whats been done so far:
- Gear box fixed, shift kits etc. installed (not me personally)
- Some "paint jobs" to stop the worst rot on good parts..
- Removed thirty years of random electrical modifications
- Crusie control working
- New inner roof, old one was hanging like a hat on me while driving, now its very kitsch fake leather, looks way better than expected. :)
- Hundreds of small things just to get it road worthy again

In the near future:
- Try to reduce the growing oil stain in the garage, valve cover gasket and oil adaptor seems like two large contributors.
- Steering is loose, the kind of loose that makes it feel like you are in a discussion with the car not actually steering it.
So pitman, idler and the steering knuckles is the plan, upper and lower ball joint is a maybe. (If some technical words are wrong Im sorry, not native english speaker)
- Back up lights don't work, just irritating.

Long term:
Start welding... So much metal is just gone.
Get it back from the rust death and perhaps repaint it "proper" some day.

Welcome from Canada. Had to get my world atlas out. I always get Norway, Sweden and Finland mixed up. LOL

Oil stain more or less gone, removed entire oil cooler pipe-assembly and changed to a standard filter-fitting.. I wont tow that much anyway.

So now to the winter project.
Almost everything between stering gear box to the knuckles will be changed, Ill keep the sway bar and center link, but thats it. Got everything loose fairly simple exept the torsion bar from the lower control arm..
During this week I will have one more serious talk to it in a stern voise, then its angle grinder time.

I was hoping to be able to perhaps restore the LCA and put them on a shelf for future use but that does not seem very likely at the moment.

Before and "almost half-way-point"
