just installed this kit and can confirm it fits our trucks perfectly,it leaves no play in the bearing, column housing, and shaft

tip on install make sure to grease it up on the column housing, and the bearing housing the o-ring so you can slip it past halfway on it will fully seat

definitely has gotten a bit tighter and bumps feels smoother im really liking it will update with more driving, highly recommend if your after overbuilding your truck.

Interesting product. I've replaced a few of those OEM lower "bearings" and they're definitely plastic junk, but the lower steering shaft on 800's has been revised so many times with GM trying to cure the clunking/rattling that at least on those trucks I don't think the bearing is a big concern. 400's don't seem to suffer that, or at least not nearly as much. 80K or so and the 800's original steering shafts are clunking and rattling like they're wore out.

Looking into adding this bearing as well.

Assuming you deleted the EVO and steering wheel position sensor, did you get a CEL?
Nope no cel's I had already deleted the EVO before,These will also fit the gmt800's. comments on 1ROAD's video and his own updated video on the updated Dorman 905-512 failing after a year or so and bringing the clunking back,This has 4 set screws that hold the shaft solid

I'd seen these before but I like my EVO, too bad they won't let you keep it.
