Around here we are lucky to see 100 in the summer for more than a couple days and only a couple days below zero in the winter.
I'm sure you'll be fine. More important than having a cooler is changing your oil regular enough JMHO. Nothing wrong with keeping it cool and warming sooner, but you don't want a leak either.

I'm trying to prime my engine oiling system and i don't know if i have a problem our not. Lifters are all new. I know for a fact all pushrods are clean.
I have spun the oil pump driveshaft for about 10 minutes and turned it over about a hundred times 1/4 turn at a time and only 1 rocker arm is oiling.
I took 1 rocker arm off and spun the tool and no oil ever came out the pushrod.
I would think they all should be oiling or none should be.
They all seamed to be pumped up now though as they were not before.

I know on the small block you need a tool that fits in where the distributor goes or else the lifters will never prime. What tool are you using to prime?

When I had mine apart, I just took a piece of round metal stock, and used an angle grinder to cut the end to match like the dizzy fits, then chucked it in a cordless drill, left ignition key on and was able to get 20psi on the dash gauge

Yeah, using the prime tool. Spinning with a drill. Summet brand.
Maybe it's trapped air. Now two are oiling. 1 on each side.
It definitely has oil pressure but i wonder if my drill will not turn it fast enough?

I don’t recall that I saw oil at each pushrod. spun the pump less than a minute with cordless drill to prime it. I could feel resistance as the pressure built. Should be fine. The rockers will rattle for a few seconds on startup

When I primed my 350 with a modded distributor housing I only got oil from a rocker or 2. The rest took a minute or 2 of idling to start pushing oil.

There are 3 oil gallery plugs behind the cam gear with .020 holes in them to oil the gear/chain and bleed off trapped oil in the top of the oil gallery
Yeah, they are there. I have two with holes. Did quite a bet of research about them plugs. Some had 3, some had 2, some had non. Mine had 2 when i took it apart so i put two back in it.
