Well I’ve finally got a chance to update my 94 status rebuild! Found a used wrecked 92 1500 with a crate motor approximately 3600 miles on it. I put a rv comp cam with lifters, edelbrock proformer tbi intake, cleaned tbi unit hedman 3” long tubes. Next paycheck will be water pump and valve covers and then put it in the engine bay!!

11/4 This is the weekend for install, only thing I’m getting discouraged at is I do not like how my oil dipstick is working out! I’ve formed it around headers to mount to block but I don’t like it. Is there a shorter tube/stick I can run almost straight up from insertion hole? I keep finding parts for swaps and older vehicles. Flexible maybe? But will they read correctly? Took all my new parts off so I don’t mess anything up

Hello again. I’m not supposed to be moving to much but can’t help it with a motor about ready to run! I ran into problem today with water pump! It’s a chrome tuff stuff. Pulley and fan will not match to bolt holes not sure if I should drill or call Monday!!

First Guess: You have a reverse-rotation (serpentine) pulley, and you're trying to install it on an older-style (v-belt) "regular" rotation pump.

The box does say "Reverse" on it. Maybe the wrong pump in the right box? Pump assembled with the wrong pulley-hub?

Or maybe I'm off-base.

Anyway, don't drill the pulley, call the company.

It looks to me you bought the wrong pump. According to Summit Racing it's for SBC Gen 1 with a note "Custom serpentine systems requiring a reverse rotation pump only. Not a stock replacement."

I have the 1675A (aluminum). It shows for V6 in the "Description" but, in the "Applications" section it shows fitting a V8 too. It bolts up correctly and I've been running it for ~4 years now.

Thank you I ordered this from Jegs and it says nothing about custom systems Dang it,

I will see if I can return and order from summit! Although I’ve mounted it, it has not been ran! We’ll see
