And lookie there at F58, that confirms the 2 different sizes that came up in another thread.
Regular cab 88-91 C1500's got the little brakes. "HD" brakes were optional. 92-up GM decided everyone was getting "HD" brakes.

So since my '89 C1500 has the JB5 brakes, I should also have the F58 "HD"sway bar?

Beats me. Do you have F58 stickers on the bedsides? (I kid, I kid)

Maybe the '89 sales brochure has that type of info? To order this, includes this, or must have that option, type of chart.

My thoughts, too.
Back in the mid-60's, when you ordered a Chevelle & checked the 'SS' box, that included the F-41 Suspension, bucket seats, gauges, emblems &...
...a BBC (!) 3 different ones.
You could order each of those options separately on a non-SS Chevelle, (Without the emblems, of course.) but once SS was specified, the addition of the parts within the option were pretty well non-negotiable.
But I'd bet that there's a bench seat '66 Chevelle Super Sport unicorn out there somewhere.
If someone knew how to read a sales order sheet or had an 'in' of some kind, there was always a way to get around a basic standard.

RPO-L78 wasn't even mentioned on an order sheet for the '68-'70 Novas. Most salesman didn't know that that option was even available in that vehicle. A person had to know previously about that & then write it in by hand at the bottom of the order sheet.

Recovering from surgery means I'm bored and fidgety, but can't turn any wrenches, so I went out and looked at Roscoe. It's an '88 C3500 and has a big sway bar. I then checked Way Cool Jr, my '89 C1500 and it has the same size sway bar, awesome! The dial caliper says 1.25".

Unless early '88s were an exception, you should have a sway bar. My '89 C1500 does.

can anyone confirm if that frame bracket/spacer that the sway bar bushing is mounted to, is only on the passenger's side? Mine doesn't have one on the driver's side and makes me wonder if that is the original design or if original owner did something...
