Finished product....... Before anybody asks, there are 3 chambers inside that box. 2 for the 6x9s and 1 big one for the subs. Can't have the subs tearing up the cone of the 6x9s!!!!

I had something like that in my first GMT400, back in '94ish. Custom box made for just the drivers side back seat. Take your build and cut it in half, that was mine. It housed two Rockford Fosgate 8" subs driven by an Alpine V12 amp. Factory speakers were all Infinity and Alpine in dash. For the '90s it was a pretty good sounding system. I didn't do the build then, I had a professional, like yourself, install it. Nice look and great result! The owner should be very happy.
I wish I had a stock head unit too, factory integration has come a long way. I think I saw a “retro sounds” deck for our trucks but if i remember correctly, it didn’t even look like our stock radios.
Edit: I think they used a work truck model as their base.
I bought a $25 kenwood radio (open box, b grade, demo unit) and it’s such a piece of Junk I just drive around in silence. I don’t even set the clock anymore.
