i did bent the deflector while trying to remove it.

Hammer and pry it nicely. I removed the carrier bearing on Roscoe on Saturday and bent the bejeesus out of the flange on the back of the front drive shaft where it butts up to the carrier bearing. I spent about five minutes with my biggest screwdriver and a decent-sized hammer and it's round again.

i tried but it will remove the deflector from the yoke. question is if this is the problem, becuase it was throwing oil before too.

Just checking as I couldn’t see it in the pictures. By any chance is this a little further up where the two piece driveshaft comes together? I know that greasable slip joint will throw fluid from time to time.

It’s a one piece driveshaft, no slip joint.
