Killer score!

Usually something is either missing or broken. I definitely got lucky on these. I even have the damned air baffle, just need to score a dirt cheap diesel bumper to make it all work now. The Z71 bumper on this truck was even the correct color for my 2 tone, but had taken a hit. Such is the game when you're looking for parts for a truck that's old enough to buy beer.

One of the trucks at my local ish U Pull And Pay had a diesel bumper on it last time I was there. Was bent on the right side around the hole, so I didn't get it.

It's too bad you're not closer to KC. Classic Parts' diesel bumpers are the same as LMC's 5year chrome warranty units for less money, the one on my 'burb is holding up awesome.

Now you're gonna beat me with Z71 fogs!

I got a replacement light, just haven't had time to replace the damaged one. Be sure to post lots of pics when you install the fogs so I get motivated to finish up installing mine.

Will do, but first I need to score a free/dirt cheap diesel/Z71 bumper.

Today I tried my hand at lean cruise, and I got it working, but I'm still trying to wrap my head around the way it comes and goes. @L31MaxExpress @RDF1 If either of you or anyone else who's dabbled can chime in, please do. I started with fueling and spark straight out of a Holden Monaro, but it was a bit aggressive for the truck. It really didn't like the 18.XX:1 hit so I dulled it down to max out around 16.5:1 and when it gets into it, it hangs right around there.

I'm curious to see you guys' fueling and timing tables. I want to experiment with leaning it one more cell to the right, or maybe halving it one over so it doesn't drop right back to stoich after .56. After driving, debating on leaning the super low load cells out to the 17 range as they're basically coasting downhill with barely more than zero throttle input.

Also thinking I need to dump a little more timing in here as the leanest I'm commanding is an EQR of .89.

Also also, seems odd that the timing dips in the 1600-2000 range. 2000+ is generally where I am in OD on the highway.

I would be hesitant to shift it over to 0.64 gm/cyl myself knowing that mine is out of lean cruise at 0.56. I am getting into the 70-80 kpa range at 0.50 gm/cyl at lower rpm. With the TBI and TPI stuff the lean cruise exit point was based off MAP. Generally, the lean cruise was disengaged at 70-75 KPA. Just to give you an idea of where this ends up on my setup. The numbers below are on flat road, minimal wind, and the a/c blasting.

55 mph = 1,685 rpm = 15.7% TPS = 65.0 KPA = 0.32 gm/cyl
60 mph = 1,868 rpm = 16.0% TPS = 61.5 KPA = 0.40 gm/cyl
65 mph = 1,988 rpm = 16.9% TPS = 62.0 KPA = 0.39 gm/cyl
70 mph = 2,154 rpm = 17.2% TPS = 62.6 KPA = 0.38 gm/cyl
75 mph = 2,312 rpm = 17.6% TPS = 62.0 KPA = 0.38 gm/cyl
80 mph = 2,473 rpm = 18.0% TPS = 58.4 KPA = 0.37 gm/cyl

Also keep in mind that my 0.145 subtractor is 16.49:1 with stoich set at 14.1 for E10. The 0.1104 subtractor is 16.52:1 with stoich set at 14.7. Really wish people would just do away with AFR and use Lambda.

I'm showing .55 gm/cyl at 82 kpa right around 1950 RPM myself (I chopped that off in my screenshot above), I think I need to live with this more and knock down more miles to better characterize it. The intent isn't to make a dent in town, rather out on the open road. Everything near my house is either up or down. I'm glad to see your table is more in line with my thinking, the stock Holden stuff seemed about as weird as the stock timing map on my C5Z. Where are your timers set? Stock was 150 seconds run time and same for off idle time. Makes sense in application, but is an asspain to monitor on shortish datalogs.

Those are in the left top corner of the first picture. Enable Time 180 seconds, Moving Delay is 15 seconds. Enable Speed 55 mph. Disable Speed 52 mph. Lean Out rate is 2x the factory PE entrance rate.
