Led question here.. trying to go back to oem style lights. I've ordered led light bulbs. Now things are going wierd. I know led love to play games so turned out my canbus led 194 bulb cause the issue. I switched to a different style 194.. My question is what bulbs do I need in order to have them function like oem. Heres what I got. What led bulbs or style have yal used and had luck with? The issue I'm having is the leds park lights turn on but not the corners... if I use the turn signal then the corners turn on. If all my lights are on they still don't come on...

Any takers on this one? I’m hoping it may just be a bad light switch but I’m not sure how that would be related. The switch also just in the last few days will not turn the cluster lights on unless I press on it a little bit harder.

There is a lot of brittle plastic in these old switches. If the locking tabs that keep the wiring plugged in are gone, your connector is slowly sliding off. Not too hard to get that bezel off the dash and see what's going on behind it. Your switch may have broken all its mounts as well (mine did) but the bezel keeps it in place somewhat.

Could be a short somewhere in the marker turn lights? Causing more load to slow the flashing?

I know the switch will last a lot longer with relays on the headlights. Poor gauge wiring long run and too many amps for the switch. You will also have brighter lights with relays.

Anyone have a gauge cluster diagram for a 94 Chevy truck original tach if it matters. I have an issue with the dash lights radio light and HVAC lights shutting off when the headlights are on

Well I replaced the switch and nothing changed. Nice to actually have paint on them again though, looks mint. After a while I started noticing I was having to punch my lock/unlock button like 4 or 5 times to shimmy the doors to lock or unlock. Well after that I got the battery test and it showed a whopping 38 amps… and it was still cranking…. Sounded like it was dragging more and more over the summer but would still crank every time. The new battery fixed all the issues I was having with the lights!

When in doubt, start with a free battery test.

I'll check my lights in the reflection of strip mall store front windows. Don't have to get out of the truck. 'Cause...Great White North. Rain Forest.
Monsoon season 6 months a year.
Cold and wet. Eww.
Truck's warm'n dry.
How old are those tail light circuit boards?
Clean the grounds.
Tow package? Check that harness, too.
Hyper-flash with a non-digital flasher unit is an indicator of a burnt bulb.

Yes that store window trick is something we learned a while back. Helps with parking too!(and with a Burb or CCLB you need all the help you can get in parking! Sometimes I get out and do "ground traffic control" but not too often when it's raining!)
