Question for the people with trucks having this problem, have you tried turning the key to run and then back off a few times before attempting to start the engine? Point being to prime the fuel system really well before attempting to start. It appears to be a decent temporary workaround to a "hot fuel module" failure, which some of these trucks apparently have. More info in these threads...

Mine doesn't have the hot fuel module, and I don't remember if this was in my first post but it has a recently new upgraded fuel pump too.

So mine the truck was actuallly reading -40 Degrees out which was causing the exact opposite thing too much fuel.

Yup that'll do it lol. Wife and I have decided to keep the blazer though and make it our camping rig, since its burning oil and has 270k on the clock I'm gonna toss in a mild crate engine and upgraded tbi here soon.

If it was my rig, I would bet on the ICM, mine has goes out every 6 months to a year no matter which brand I use, no matter what coil, plug wires, or distributor. Its maddening!

Truck starts up cold perfectly, runs smooth, zero issues. Once you cut it off after its at operating temp it will not restart until it cools off. It cranks fine, the starter is turning fast and you can smell some gas so I think its getting fuel fine. I tried the coil and ignition module tonight with no change. I'm diagnosing blind right now because I don't have any of my tools, just a few I had left in the truck before I moved.

timing not at tdc 0.
Leaking injectors.
Bad temp senser
Most likely is an intermittant or low voltage to the ecm.
Sometimes **** doesnt work right when it gets hot then it starts working again when it cools off.
I would start at the wiring and the grounds.
And the base timing.
You can easilly drive around with your timing so out of whack that it firehoses fuel down the intake.
That especially happens during the relearn for an obd1
That learning curve for TBI is no different then the learning curve for a quadrajet or a thermojet or a some old carter or whatever
way back in the 1980s every dope I knew twisted every random screw on thier Q Jet and decided it was garbage and then save up thier money and bolted a Holley 750 on that bone stock 350 and wondered why I could smoke them with my crappy little Audi.
It is just so easy.
It cant burn the fuel that you are feeding it.
They have to stage at 5 grand and they want you to hurry up before they plug foul and get all embarrased.
No. That aint how it works fucko.
Street racing is a poor mans game
That is how it all began.
Be safe. Be responsibe.
You younger people have a whole **** load of history behind you.
At some point in the near future they will outlaw gas engines.
That is pretty much a done deal.
But they do not understand car culture at all.
Somebody, some one of you loopy crazy ******* could be the next Carrol Shelby.
If the entire world went to **** tommorrow, and we had to go to town on ******* goat carts.
Some one of you people will be out in the barn with crazy ideas about making a faster goat cart.
That is how we all got here.
They will probably kill the gas engine.
But they sure cant kill racing and mods
They will have to arrest us.
You crazy *******
