So I got the truck all put back together with new upper balljoints.

I also torched out the camber knock outs on the drivers side where it wouldn't align right (They were so friggen stubborn).

I also repainted the door handles since I hadn't done that yet(I really wish I removed them when I painted the truck).

Did you replace the sway bar?
This would make me nervous too!

I didn't replace the sway bar.

I know the knock out doesn't look pretty, but the neighbor I borrowed the torch from (was an engineer for CAT for 30 years) told me there shouldn't be a problem.

Did you notice a difference in the light that the sealed beam headlights put out, versus the composite ones? I'm considering doing this swap on the Burb ( since now would be a good time, everything apart to fix collision damage). Thanks!

They seem brighter, but my composite lights were pretty yellowed.

They should just bolt in, but you'll have to rewire them a bit (snip off part of the harness from the truck you get them from).

Yes I will have to change the plugs on the back of the headlights. That harness was gone from the donor truck. I'm still surprised that I was able to get them; only seen one other set on a truck in this yard, and it was gone by the time I got there. This yard posts photos of the new vehicles they put out, but the trucks get picked over quickly....

Are you swapping over to an older style grille like my truck while you're at it? I know not everyone likes the older one as much as I do.

Also, I think you might be able to just use some off the shelf female spade connectors and connect them directly to the light (I might have done that, I can't quite remember).

No, I want to keep the new style grille since that's what the truck has and I like the way it looks. I have to see what the insurance estimates are, and figure out from there. There's gotta be a GM style grille less than $400+ that LMC wants for theirs ( but if someone else is paying for it....).

I just deep cleaned the front seat with a magic eraser, and it's kinda rough.

Its got a bunch of stains/cigarette burns, so one of these days I might reupholster it. I was thinking of changing the interior color to a saddle brown, but I want to swap in a pre 95 dash/door panels first.

My brother wrecked his Honda the other day.

Since I don't want him driving the Burb, I decided to fix it for free.

I pulled out the radiator support and banged the hood/fender back into shape.

I then replaced the busted headlight (he doesn't have any money, I'm not going to buy him a headlight).

I finally added some horsepower with this nifty hood stripe.

This thing is probably going to be a derby car after the rod knock gets worse.
