I need to replace the wheel cylinders on my '93 RCSB, but it looks like there were some changes to the bore.

GM parts websites list the correct P/N as 19213347.

When I looked up this part number on Rock Auto, it gave me 2 wheel cylinders with different bores.

AC Delco P/N 172-1514
GM P/N 19213347
Bore 0.7974221"
Years 1992 - 1998

Wagner P/N WC 116224
GM P/N 19175763 or 19213347
Bore 1.18"
Years 1993 - 1999

The build date on my truck is 08/1992. My build sheet says the truck has a JB5 brake system.

Does anyone know when GM started using the larger bore wheel cylinders?

Well, went ahead and ordered the AC Delco wheel cylinders with the smaller bore. The GVWR on the truck is 5600 lbs. I'll report back.

I would think the larger bore would be JB 5 but I wasn't the one doing the job, when the wheel cylinders were replaced on the Burb (and Burbs are JB 6 anyway so probably different yet).

@LA2SD - How did those AC Delco wheel cylinders work out for your JB5? I am running a 91 w/ JB5 and am ordering a new set.

So far, so good. They don't leak, or lock up, and the truck stops great. But in retrospect, I probably could've gone with the larger bore wheel cylinders. The truck came standard with the thicker HD rotors in front, and I ended up replacing the front calipers anyway with some new Raybestos units that have a larger 3" piston.

In case you're interested, the calipers are FRC4418N and FRC4417N.
