I’ve been taking some measurements and it looks like the factory gas tank will clear the subframe so I do not need a fuel cell. I might still raise the tank an inch or two for extra ground clearance. I would be down to about 4-5” of ground clearance if I do not raise the tank. I am thinking I will need to cut some of the bed out for tire to bed clearance as I only have about an inch currently and the irs will reduce my track width by about an inch so it will be close.

NICE!!! As for names Silveramo, lol. Back in the day of the EVH truck, some outfit had a kit to put a vetteIRS under OBS. Kit was 600 bucks. Think it was styling concepts. Sorry for dating myself.

Yes,but without the driveshaft. He desined it to make a muscle car midengined. Imagined med engined Chevelle! It was in hot rod magazine 3/4 years ago. Sorry to hijack. I mave have an old article about the vette irs. I will look through my stuff this weekend.

I know they’re different trucks. But I did an IRS in my 2008 Silverado for the 2008 SEMA show. I used parts from an 06 GTO. I beefed up the axles and shortened them because i ran the first Raceline 24x14. My buddy Steve (Steve McGaughy) just helped me beef up everything and he builds for himself high end sand rails. So we just follow suit and used 4x4 front spindles in the rear.
The Boyd / Van Halen truck was IRS out off a C4 rearend. It’s not hard. Plus mine was bagged and you don’t even have to lift bed floor. Still had to tub. it’s was cool cause the truck had a little camber in the rear when laid out. People would trip on it.

CamarOBS? Sounded better in my head.

Anyway, I'll be following how you pull this off. I'd love to put something like this under my 05 GTO since these Aussie parts are getting hard to come by.

Yeah. I’ll try and post on here. A Lot of the build pics are on an old phone and computer.
