My wife drove truck to work, parked it and when she shut it off it started clicking under the dash to the left. She then noticed the doors would not unlock with the power unlock button. She put key back in and turned it. Nothing. Unfortunately I am 60 miles away trying to come up with ideas and what tools /parts i may need to retrieve it later. At work, do not the leisure time to search the forums it probably here.

With everything going dead all at once I'd all but guarantee it's a connection issue. The batery terminals are notorious for loosening.
I will award my gold star. LOL the positive was slightly loose and she tightened it truck did start. wasn't what i needed to hear since the engine for my 07 in sitting in my garage and she wasn't real happy to have to drive "Copper"

Thanks

Wifes 08 done this recently. Turn the key, would click and lose all power. Positive side terminal had backed off ever so slightly.

My 01 Blazer would do the same, but those use crappy side post. Even more notorious for it.

Bro. Had starting issues with the work truck the other week (2020 F450SD) - remembered that a little while back they'd replaced both the batteries. Thinking no way the new batteries are already croaking, but you never know. Popped the hood and found slightly loose terminal clamps. Tightened them up and all was fine.

Would you believe the cheesy little stamped steel clamps with a top-mount 10mm nut that cinches them together, are what F@rd uses on the 7.3 "Godzilla" gas engine? Yup..

Anyway the lesson learned, and re-learned, should always be start with the simple stuff.

Wow, I thought Mopar was the only one that made top terminals that poorly....
Pic stolen from web but it's the same terminal end; I haven't studied how that top mounted bolt makes the clamp work, but these don't inspire confidence.

Truck had just a barely perceptible slow crank. The real glaring symptoms (to me, anyway, but not the previous 6 shifts that used the truck because nobody said anything) was right after you started it, the radio switched from 12hr clock back to 24hr (default) and the dash light dimming display would come up as if you'd hit the button for it, but hadn't.

I jump out of the truck dozens of times a night and shut it off so nobody jumps in for the free ride. Almost always in hostile territory, so if it doesn't want to start when I jump back in.. that's not good.
