I was paying triple+ for home-heating propane last February compared to Trump-era summer pricing. Some of that is the normal winter/summer price difference. (300 gallons/$1100)

My last fill was within the last month; "only" double the Trump-era pricing. (500 gallons/$1050)

My "1000 gallon" (they won't fill it above 750 gallons) tank does not have a liquid line; I can't refill my own bar-b-cue "20 gallon" tanks. Dirtbags.

I don't know how that compares to LPG.

For your 500 USg, road fuel LPG would cost (at current exchange rate) $1650. It attracts tax for road use but nothing like as much as petrol or diesel which is in excess of 50% of the retail price.
By comparison, 500 USg of gasoline here would cost $3980 and diesel $4540 (minimum).

500 USg of LPG for domestic use would be between $750 and $1120. Looks like USA and UK prices for domestic LPG are similar - but ours was never the 'half' that you once had.

I don’t even know what’s going on in this thread anymore. All I wanted was to know what gas to run . ‍♂️

"....Be sure the posted octane is at least 87. If the octane is less than 87, you may get a heavy knocking noise when you drive. If it’s bad enough, it can damage your engine....."

Section 6, page numbers 4 and 5 might help you decide (AKA: pages 269 & 270), that is where the quote above is from. Also some mention of methanol and ethanol in there.

Best as I can tell, the words elevation and altitude only appear in the manual one time each, discussing approaching a hill and/or trailer weight.

"...But even that can be too heavy. It depends on how you plan to use your rig...."

Best of luck.

PO was running 91 in CA. At 7.5k’ and current prices I’ll be running 85 with 87 on occasion.
