I'm very happy to be able to say that paint, body is over for now and they'll be mounted tomorrow.

The SMC fenders have to be one of the worst things I've had to work. Lol.

Also finished up the interior so thats off the check list for SETN.

And painted a cup same color as truck the ol lady wants one everytime I paint one of my junkers.

How do you have to prepare the cup to paint it, for the paint to stick? Sand & prime? Looks like it's stainless steel, and I've had varying results painting stainless and aluminum. Thanks in advance!

This cup I did over 2 yrs ago and is holding up good over use and dishwasher.

But all I did on both is tape off what I didn't want painted, hit it with a piece of red scotch Brite, then wipe it off with grease/wax remover.

And then spray the base let it flash off then hit it with the clear. But it's automotive grade stuff it's a little tougher. I've not tried it but I don't think spray paint is strong enough to handle everyday use. But I haven't tried to see

Forgive me for it being dirty but I pulled it out of the dishwasher

This is not really related to this dually but I wanted it in my build thread for future reference if I find the need for it.

But got to wondering if I could find my old account on here and to possibly save any pictures I may want that I lost over the years. And I took this screenshot because I said one day id be back with the OBS I wanted one day.

Now it was roughly 10 yrs but I got the OBS CC dually I wanted lol

That's why I'm hunting a good spare set. If something happens to one on it I'll have minor work to do to a good set
That's why I have one good driver side fender stashed in one of my buildings lol. If I ever find a good passenger side fender and a good bed, I'll already have this one.

Back when my son was way younger I bought Treasure Hunt Hot Wheels and collected years of them but my son had the same to play with lucky kid we also collected Baseball cards and magazines and Ninja Turtles figures at one time he had his bedroom walls covered in new Hot Wheels so I bet I could get some good cash for the stuff but it won’t happen there all my sons which he won’t get rid of them.

I had just as good of a time my son did now he’s into some for real cars me I’m just a old fart now.
