I was working on my "new" 89 K1500 today when I noticed these five wires were missing from their connector.

I'm pretty sure these two go to the 4wd actuator on the front axle.

These three however, I'm not sure where they go.

Find out what doesn't work on that truck. That's probably where the wires go.

Do you have the thermal actuator, or has it been upgraded to the stepper-motor kind? I think the upgraded actuator takes five wires.

I believe those are for the feedback circuit indicating that the front differential is locked in. Turns on the 4wd light at the floor shifter.

Follow or trace them back to where they came from. Look at any connectors, or plugs in that area. Anything missing?
Or look in the wiring diagrams, what bundle has same colors, in that area?
