So I have a 1996 k1500 with an nv3500 and I found a good deal on an nv4500 out of a 95 c2500 I was wondering what all I would need to change to make it work I already know I’ll need a different output shaft for 4wd but I’m not sure if my np241 will work with it or not, And I’m not sure if the clutch setup will work either someone give me some knowledge

95 nv4500 was the last year of the external slave cylinders, you will need a new master cylinder, slave, TO bearing and clutch.

If it is the short tailshaft 2wd I believe it is possible to convert to fit to a transfer case. If it is the longer version a different output shaft will be needed. Check if you need any special tools before tearing into one of these transmissions. If you are taking everything apart anyhow I would consider doing a clutch and pressure plate regardless since you are in there, unless you know everything has fairly low miles.
