I'm guessing you watched this video on the GMT800 brakes? I watched the video when it came out, but can't recall what the guy said about the difference in braking power was?

I sure did... but after spiralling on the forum here for too long I can't figure out exactly if you can/should do this on a K3500.... vs putting the dually stuff up front and being happy.

Either way I'm probably not pulling 10k+ loads for a while.

Sure does!
Frank is the rescue truck. Betty does the heavy hauling!

Betty's leaf spring pack is twice as thick as Franks. Knock yer fillings out driving over a shadow!
I swear the frame flexes before the springs compress.

Put 1 cubic yard of crushed concrete in Frank and he was P1SSED! Filled Betty's bed as much as would fit in the bed without spilling over (almost 3 yards!) an she squatted about 3 inches. Needless to say I drove that load home @ 25 mph with the flashers on.
Only 2 yards per load from now on!

Betty also has the load sensitive rear brake proportioning valve if anyone wants to know.

I put 2 yards in my half ton, sure felt it but far from white knuckle.

Granted I have a 5+1 2500 leaf pack but still was shocked it never hit the bumpstops.

Are you sure that's 2 yards there? I seem to recall that looks "close" to when I put a yard of flex-base or sand in my K3500 long bed. Where I get my stuff a full scoop on the front-end loader is a full yard. Weight is somewhere between 2600-2800# per yard for sand and flex-base, depending on moisture content.

Last year I bought a yard of that decorative large river gravel for a planter project. The operator loaded me an extra 0.5 yard and I was close to the bump stops.

How dare you call into question a man's unit of measurement! I asked for 2 yards and that's what I got. The scoop was a yard, and it was heaping with round 1. It's only 3'x3'x3' worth of dirt for an honest yard.

The math checked out based on the dimensions of this garden bed that round 1 was about 1.5 yd.

That's definitely lighter than 2 yards but probably a bit more than 1.

To help visualize 1 cubic yard, it is equivalent to 202 us gallons. A standard shortbed truck would be a little under 2 yards if filled full and screeded flat not counting the fender protrusions. A longbed filled and screeded flat is 2.5 yards. Maybe the obs shortbeds were a little longer than my wife's 2014 that I just measured.
