For power cables, I have two larger sizes I bought off Amazon. For regular wires, I use Harbor Freight's shrink tubing, but if Amazon has a nice kit, post a link, please. Just remember to delete the "https://" off the front end so that it works.

Thats the one I was linking to above without the https//.

I'll swing by HF and see what they have on the shelf today. Need to pick up some abrasive blast media as well.

Between the weather, family visiting for a weekend, and my wife going back to work from maternity leave all topped with driving 1.5 hours to a job site and back each day, i haven't made any progress. Hopefully next weekend I'll have some time to make progress.

Outside of this project my sister requested that I build her a new coffee table with lift off top to store blankets in. I figure its a fair trade since she drove 4.5 hours to make her niece a princess birthday cake and doesn't ask much but gives constantly.

Nice project rig. Definitely gonna watch this one. :Caffeine:
Thanks. Its not going to be anything fancy or special. Just trying to keep it reliable and well functioning. I've never had the urge for lifted off road vehicles as I can't say I've ever needed one. Been more places with stock trucks than friends ever made it with lifted (and broken less).

I hear that. I'm also in the process of trying to get my poor K2500 Burb put back together. Finally was able to start ordering parts yesterday, after talking about it for at least a year, if not more.

Finally had a chance to put some time into "Big Blue" as my wife called it and removed the mangled trailer light harness and cleaned up the rear frame. Some wire wheel, sanding, and a bit of sand blasting with a cheapo HF spot blaster. (Bagged all purpose sand run through a window screen works fairly well. Not to mention significantly cheaper than blast media). Primer is drying then getting rattlecan undercoat. Next up after bumper is on will be to reinstall a trailer light plug.

Nice work. Keep the posts coming. I've got to do the same routine that you are doing on a 99 version, different color (blk/gold)

An old Koons in Tysons truck eh?
I'm supposedly the third owner. Story is original owner used it primarily for running to races and back.

I've had a few black vehicles, love the look of black when its clean but they never stay that way for long.... halfway down the driveway.

Haven't made much progress in a while. Did get a set of 265/75R16 general grabber a/tx for it. One step closer to doing the front bushings, ball joints, etc.

Started replacing the seized parking brake cables while adjusting rear brakes. Seems i need to get the adjuster bracket as well once I can find a source. Rockauto doesn't have it listed and napa website isn't much help either.

Slow progress on suburban with other stuff going on. Almost have a coffee table finished for my sister and about to remodel the primary bathroom in our house (read remove window in the shower that is waist height and clear) and install new fixtures, flooring, and likely lighting.

Did however pick up a set of PYOs with center caps, no lug nuts today while on the road for work. Will be swapping my tires over to these and getting around to the front end work soon. Hopefully.
