Hi. I have a 92 Silverado and the rear brakes are currently not working. My right rear tire locked up while in reverse. Could it still be the brakes? Thanks

Is the wheel locked up only in reverse? Or won't go forward or back now? Jack up the truck and start pulling things until you get the wheel to spin again. Why do say the brakes are not working? Not functioning correctly? Parking brake seized?

Could be something inside the differential too. We won't know based on the information provided.

There is no way for us to know... lines being disconnected doesn't mean anything if all your brake hardware is still there and probably broken.

you gotta start removing wheel/tire and inspecting then repairing.

Make sure those shoes are clean! My wheel cylinders were leaking and I replaced them, but I didn't take the time to clean the shoes off. My truck absolutely struggled to move in reverse. I tore it back down and wiped the shoes clean with rubbing alcohol. No issues since.

Glad it was an easy fix! I had something like this years ago on a daily driver - in my case wasn't just Midwest rust. Corner of a brake shoe cracked off and jammed the drum.
