You have a programming button that plugs into that brain.... start the truck and then push the programming button and hold it till the LED comes on and then wait 5 sec and release the button.

I may have found(hopefully) the source of a few different electrical issues lately.

I’m thinking since this was stripped out, I definitely wasn’t getting a good ground at battery. I noticed it felt funny last week when tightening, but thought it was stripping a little at head with socket. I just happened to grab one at boneyard last weekend. Good and snug now with a bit of dielectric grease on. I’m gonna go ahead and order the Big 3! :waytogo:

Get a 34/78 battery and switch over to top posts. I'm in the process of doing it myself. Once I replace the positive cable with a bigger, longer one, I'll be good to go :waytogo:

These clamps will accommodate bigger wires too. Right now I have 4ga going to them.

X2. I don't even use the top posts for anything besides charging/testing/jump points, but upgrading to a dual terminal battery is worth it for those small conveniences alone IMO. It's so much easier to clip things to the top posts than it is to the sides.

that ground could something to do with it. It's hard to tell without being right there.
Well I can only say after starting truck, pressing and holding valet button it did function normally. It was after that I noticed stripped ground stud. I googled “causes of starters remaining engaged” and a few replies said a bad ground. Either way, fixing that ground was needed. Anything you can think of to further test this?
