Picked up this ‘95 C2500 8-lug Sierra the other day. Equipped with a 350/4L80e, 4.10s, and G80. It was originally a Utah truck that made its way to IL for a few months before I purchased it. It’s got a minor amount of rust on the extended cab and the doors, but already getting parts to repair it. Plans are for a 5/7 drop, tint, upgraded audio, and that’s about it. It runs and drives great. Dealer put the Silverado badges on it but those are coming off this weekend if not sooner.

I was just talking to my father about wanting to find a truck like this. Drove through a small town on Sunday, saw it, checked out everything I could, went back Monday at 8am and bought it.

Found another gem. 1994 2wd long bed WT. 4.3 auto with A/C. Very straight and rust free (rare for rust belt trucks). 150k on the odo but appeared well taken care of. Felt like I stole it at $2400. Needed tires, front brakes and tie rods/pitman/idler.

Road worthy now and ready for further improvements. Oh, and reinstalled a front air deflector. Waiting on proper front plate holder (crooked john deere plate not going back on). Headlight, marker light and brakelight upgrade next. 1.5 inch front leveling kit?

ETA: small future plans also include tinted windows, in-channel window visors, repaint the grille a nice gloss black to match the mirrors/cowl, and probably mud flaps (I know, I know, but I am a pawpaw). And btw, I'm way more likely to lift the front 1.5 inches to level it rather than lower the rear. It's function over form here due to our rural roads and shoulders.

ETA again: The color is 9794 or bright teal metallic. Looks very blue in the shade and very green in the sun. One of my favorites of the era.

I don’t have any experience with coolant temp ranges with these big blocks, can you guys help me out. I was driving around town the other day( kingman Az) 97 degrees ac on and some stop and go. This is what the temp guage got to, it never went above this. It’s got 182k and it does have headers. 95 suburban with 454.

Have you checked to see if the gauge is accurate? Kept the radiator clean by spraying it out with a garden hose regularly?

If so, and the temp stays consistent, that should be ok. Maybe the smarter guys will know more.
