That's funny! You know, we should have more "how-to" threads on how to paint hoods, doors, etc. I really don't see many of those on this forum.

I've done a hood and fender here and there, DIY-style with a decent amount of orange peel.

My red K3500 came with a white hood and an extra blue fence on the back of the bed...at least it's all red now, LOL.

Brand new driveshaft installed and fits perfectly! Imagine this, after having 3-4 custom shafts made for this truck across nearly a decade, you become pretty good at measuring and spec'ing shafts.

My 6.0 is set 1.5" ahead, so the factory clutch fan fits to the fan shroud correctly, so the shifter actually winds up 1.5" further forward, than other LS swap trucks. Sadly, it was still about 3" rearward from centering on the factory shifter hole.

Things are definitely getting shifty!

Har har har har!

*P.S. No rabid beavers were used to cut the hole for the shifter!

I suppose, once I get home, i'll look into custom rain seals and boots for this shifter. I'd almost like to find a Hurst style arm for it, too.

Another awesome finding, aside from this trans and shifter fitting so well.

I can retain my factory "automatic" cup holder assembly.

Can fully shift each gear with ease.

100% approve a stock wheel. The 4 spoke on these was one of the best looking wheels out there. I think they look good in squarebodies too.

Did you do a shakedown run yet? How's it shift?

Not yet, I still need to pull the dash, install the clutch pedal and get it mounted correctly. From there it's hook up the clutch feed line and bleed.
