I'm considering doing the same for my 454 gen v, considering swapping the hydraulic tappet lifters for hyd rollers along with the pushrods. Might even consider a cam & spring swap. Where are you going to purchase it, if I may ask?

Honestly I haven’t 100% decided im wanting to go through jegs or summit racing which where I get most of my parts. I rebuilt my 75 c10 with most of the parts coming from them.

If your block has the bosses for the spider and the cam retainer plate (it's a good chance you do), I'd go with a hydraulic roller cam instead of the flat tappet hydraulic cam. Then think about doing something with the anemic swirl port heads.

This block is a Mr Goodwrench TBI which was new in 2002. The cam plate holes were not tapped but the spider bosses were.

Are the swirl port heads good if I only want low end torque and never care to bring my redline above 4500? Or would some aluminum summit heads or something still make better numbers down low?

They're garbage through and through. My tuned Vortec 350 made more torque from an idle to redline in a heavier truck compared to my old TBI motor.
