Have a 93 suburban that was partially converted to R134a by previous owner but they didn't change dryer or shrader valves (exploded). I don't want to remove the dash. Is there a special R134a pressure cycle switch that threads on an R12 dryer? R134a dryer won't thread on my R12 evaporator. I just barely got the dash re-installed.

*R12 cycling switch doesn't really work as computer disables AC after to many "hops" of the cycle sensor reporting low pressure.

Go to vintage air. They have all the conversion kits and are a wealth of friendly knowledge.

There used to be one-time screw on R-134 fittings. You screwed them down and they dug themselves into the metal and sealed over the factory schrader valves. Buy a new receiver/drier.

Gm actually had dealerships disable the part where it cut ac cause of it thinking it was low pressure. I'll try and find which wire it was.

And I thought it was 91,92 and by 93 none of the trucks had the "feature" anymore
