I have been hearing a clunk type noise on the passenger side cab while going over rough roads for quite a while now...today i noticed then closing the passenger door, the cab seemed to move a little too. I get under the truck, close the door (hard), and i can see the rear cab mount move in its support when the door shuts. The mount looks fine (from what i can see) and the bolt is tight, i cannot tighten it anymore. Is my mount(s) bad?

Yes. I highly recommend polyurethane body mounts.

It isn't a bad job to do. You will spend far more time cleaning the metal parts for re-use than actually changing the mounts.

I used Energy Suspension or Prothane brand on Frank. I don't remember which. They're like Coke vs. Pepsi.

I bought whichever ones were cheaper.

Use polyurethane mounts, and grease them before installing so they do not squeak. Buy some new bolts, they are usually deteriorated and break. You can reuse the end caps and it will save you a lot of money. Its a simple and straight forward job.

Frank did you do your front radiator core support bushings too? If so, how were those to do?

Yes. They came in the kit.

No problems at all to do the core support bushings. But my bumper is extended out about 6 inches.

Keep the body mount bolts wet with penetrating oil for a few days before you change the bushings.
If the captured nuts in the cab break loose from their cage you will wish that you were never born.

Expect the bolts to need to be replaced as well.

Body mount bolts= 11516868 and they are roughly $4/ea for OEM ones. You can go to a hardware store, McMaster Carr, Fastenal, etc, and tell them you need the strongest M12x1.75x110 bolts they offer, they should be cheaper than $4/ea.

I don’t need to install yet, but I did buy a Cab rubber kit from Brazil. For core support I got 2 Dorman that are still available here in US. Who knows if they’d be available in a few years so that’s why I jumped on them.
You must be registered for see images attach

Thank you Mr. Pink for bolt sizes, I’ll grab some of those too!

Frank I took a real “quick” peek at front core support mounts. The nut on bottom is easily accessible, then took a quick look inside engine compartment didn’t see heads of bolts. They must pull up and out from there right?

They are accessed from the front behind the grille.
