Hey all!

First post, long time Ford driver, cause my dad works in a plant, but recently came into possession of my father-in-laws 1995 1500. I'm going to need to replace the oil pump, find the leak in the power steering system, and find where the battery is being drained. But, I noticed when getting a load of compost this week that it really doesn't have a very large carrying capacity. So I was wondering about any advice on the above repairs and if anyone has any tips or products that would reinforce the frame and heavier duty springs. Thanks so much!

Welcome to the forum! Here's a couple videos that should hopefully be of use:

As far as the PS leak goes, degrease/clean the power steering system and the surrounding area, top it off with PS fluid and add some oil UV dye. Drive it for a little while, maybe a week or so? Not sure how bad the leak is... basically drive it until it leaks again. Then grab a blacklight look for the UV dye. It'll show you exactly what went wrong. Also do that last step at night, or in a dark area.
