I bought all new door sill screws for both of my trucks from LMC for a similar ridiculous mark-up. Something like five years ago, still haven't installed any of them. Sometimes I buy parts with the sole intention of stashing them away in case I need them someday. Thinking logically about parts purchases is no fun, don't feel too bad.
And then forget you bought them. I go through my parts stash from time to time and it is like Christmas all over when I find something I forgot I purchased.

I just ordered a set of specific interior screws, ones that can be seen in plain sight. I ended up paying over $10.00 shipping + the cost of the screws for a pack of 10 screws. Am I the only one that doesn't think logically when making purchases to redo their truck?
If it makes you feel any better, I've illogically dropped close to $6k on my 23 year old K2500 Suburban in the last couple of months. And I'm not done yet..... :fc5716bd::anitoof::head3:

So you're saying I CAN rebuild my front end with all new parts just because everything on it is original and I want it to be nice and shiny? I knew this was the place for the support I needed. :D

Coincidentally enough, it WAS door sill screws. :Big Laugh::Big Laugh:
Although I totaly understand your reasons, those are the screws I'd probably replace with something different-I still have to get mine out and it's already impossible using standard methods(a.k.a. screwdriver) on at leat 2 of them.

Door sill screws suck. They're always filled with garbage and rusted in place. Every time I go looking for door sills at Pull-A-Part, all the sill plates with nice screws are broken and all the nice, unbroken sill plates have rusted, stripped out screws filled with gunk so my screwdriver won't get a good grip.

That was exactly my situation. I ordered new sill plates from LMC and was going to reuse my screws. I was only able to get two or three screws out. The others were rusted out just like you said. When the new screws get here, I'll worry about getting the old sill plates off and the screws out.
