I just ordered a set of specific interior screws, ones that can be seen in plain sight. I ended up paying over $10.00 shipping + the cost of the screws for a pack of 10 screws. Am I the only one that doesn't think logically when making purchases to redo their truck?

I bought all new door sill screws for both of my trucks from LMC for a similar ridiculous mark-up. Something like five years ago, still haven't installed any of them. Sometimes I buy parts with the sole intention of stashing them away in case I need them someday. Thinking logically about parts purchases is no fun, don't feel too bad.

If all we did was logical things to our trucks, this would be an awfully boring forum!!! Hell....I'm seriously considering throwing the driveline from a 08 Ram 1500 in mine. Completely illogical, but that's half the fun of this hobby/lifestyle.

Oh God no. Why?

You're not alone! There's a certain kind of satisfaction installing a replacement component and using fresh hardware. There's no concern of the removed hardware being stripped or rusted. Just in with the new. Everything fits as it should and looks good doing it.

Being involved in other hobbies in the past, I had a sneaking suspicion that I wasn't alone. I just wanted some validation when my wife sees some $25 door sill screws show up. I want to be able to say, "Well at least I didn't do ____________ like this other guy did!" Just kidding of course. She's a gem and doesn't give me any grief.
