Greer LKQ? I was eyeing that C3500 for some parts; I had great luck at that yard last time I went. Charlotte LKQ has some good scores, but Greer is even better, it's just hard to make a 2-hour ride down

Yes sir! It was all I could do not to sneak out of work Friday morning to snag that. But I waited till Saturday lol. LKQ Greer is about 20 miles from both home and work, but I work half a mile from the one in Greenville.

Speaking of LKQ Charlotte, I looked really hard (online) at that green C3500 they had in there lol

That truck was a honey; my buddy and I snatched some parts of it yesterday; it's pretty well picked through now. I regret not going when it first was on the yard, it had SSDiesel decals all over it so I'm betting it was hosed down with all kinds of 6.5L goodies, not to mention a badass conversion truck interior and a cab visor.
I got lucky with my work schedule; I only work 4 days a week, I had plans to go down on Friday but got busy running errands.

It's been a hot minute since LKQ CLT had anything good put on the yard, which kind of sucks considering that's the only yard that's worth going to in Charlotte.

I’ve been fighting the urge to go look at that truck for a while lol

Get anything good off that truck?

I got a spare PMD and a good sized heat sink; my buddy got the upper and lower intake off it for his 6.2L in his K5, he's going to get the Borg Warner off my 6.5L when I put the HX35 on, other than that, all the good stuff was picked off.
It had a mint diesel bumper that I didn't have time to grab, no dents or nothing; I feel like I really need to go back and get it before they crush it

I spent today getting acclimated with the slide hammer and Bondo. I got the dents on the driver side of the bed straightened out, those just need one more thin layer of filler. Tomorrow I’ll start sanding the passenger side first and hitting it with some white primer.

I definitely spent more time going all over town today to get tools and supplies than I did actually working on the bed

First sanding and 2 coats of white primer, at least it has potential to be 10 footer now lol. I did find a few things that I need to fix, but it’s a start

Like that dent under the right taillight I didn’t notice until today…

Saturday, I got the driver side of the bed sanded and in primer. As primer always does, it highlighted some hidden blemishes. So today I sanded those spots back down to repair them.

My final fiberglass work that I'm doing on this thing, I'll sand it down and add filler tomorrow at some point.

I also cut down one of my extra Bondo spreaders so it'll fit inside the body line.

Once I get the fiberglass sanded, filler spread, sanded and primed, I'll attempt to paint the bed. After all of that. I'll address the inside of the bed.
