Apparently you can't post Amazon links on here

You can, but since the last update the site turns them into a sort of banner ad that gets caught by most browser ad blockers. No idea why that happens now, but it results in an empty space on the page if you're running an ad blocker.

I found out messing around one night that if you delete the "https://" from the beginning of the link and start it with the "www." then it won't get converted to an image and will show up as a normal text link. Again, no idea why.

Went ahead and picked up a set of color matched door handles from a Z71 Suburban from the salvage yard I went to yesterday in Nebraska.

Couldn't beat 'em for $20.

One of these days, i'll take the brand new front bumper valance out and drop it off to get painted.

How are you liking the Treadwrights? I've been mulling around running some different tires on my green truck and I always loved the look of the OG KOs.
I'd guess somewhere around 5,000 miles in, i'm very happy with them. I decided to take a chance on them, after the normal Falkens I run, went up 60% in price due to our lovely administration.

It was a good gamble that worked out well.

Went ahead and installed the rebuilt transfer case with the updated pump, case saver and new rear case half.

We went to drain the old case while on the lift. It only had a 1/4 quart of oil left in it, it's been leaking a long time. The capacity is 2.1 quarts.

Figured while I was dropping coin on this truck, I might as well go ahead and rebuild the whole frontend as well, hopefully it'll be good for another 200,000 miles. Alignment appointment is tomorrow morning.

Loaded up the truck yesterday to help my friend move his dad's shop stuff to his new home in Des Moines. Funny thing, this picture is about 40' away from where it sat dead in the hedgerow.

Ran the truck 430 miles, nearly 7 hours non-stop, with the exception of unloading in Des Moines, what an awesome truck. I guess the builder / rebuilder knew a little about what he was doing. :)

A very tasteful rehab. Nice work! And the previous poster was spot on. A very motivational thread.

If I would have known how much I was going to love my '01 GMT 800, I would have bought two. Unfortunately, in Ohio, they dissolve.

The cumulative effective of addressing many small things is amazing. I had a 96 with a good body and a good paint. I took all the after market "stuff" off the outside, installed a factory radio, and replaced everything cracked and broken on the interior (thank you pull-a-part) and bam, it went from "it's decent" to "nice truck". For about $50 american.

Well, since last week the GMC has gone back to Daily Driver, after hitting a 35lb+ racoon at 70mph in the G8 and wasting the front bumper and cooling stack.

I'm sure it'll be the daily for another week or two, while the body shop fixes the car.

Decided to address something, especially with a "Tall" sitting truck, Step bars!

Ordered a set of DeeZee aluminum oval step bars, installed them today after work. Definitely alot easier in and out, now.
