The Dude Abides..
Have a brand new GM P/N 15991786 tailgate handle bezel.
Very slight cosmetic blemish from sitting on the GM dealer shelf. See 2nd picture.
This part has been discontinued by GM, and replaced with really poorly fitting chinese copies priced at $7-10.
I tried the Dorman one as well as another cheapo offbrand, and returned them both.
There are a couple of original GM NOS on ebay at the moment priced from $50-$100.
These GM NOS units look and fit correctly with no need to modify your tailgate or the bezel itself.
All the mounting clips are new and not broken/used.
Looking to get $30 + $9 USPS first class shipping with tracking and insurance.
