That's a Rochester 2GC, the old style 2 barrel. The Dual Jet that's been mentioned, is the front half of a QJet, and is what was used in the mid 80s before the switch to TBI in '87. Our '81 Sierra pickup with a 305 had a Dual Jet on it. That was actually a reasonably fast pickup!

At least three different styles of DualJet. One based on the primaries of a Pre-75 Q-Jet, one based on the primaries of the '75-newer "Mod-Quad" Q-Jet, and one with a smaller body.

All photos taken at my second-favorite Treasure Yard, 'cause I sure wasn't going to buy these things.

Note that the primaries of a Q-Jet--or the throttles of a DualJet--are smaller than those of a 2GC. Lower CFM, lower performance--but within their capabilities, they're a wonderful 2-barrel; in particular the 200 and 210, having most of the improvements of the '75 Mod Quads. If memory serves, the 200 and 210 also have the larger venturies of the "800" cfm Q-Jets rather than the venturis of the "750" cfm Q-Jets as in the DualJet 165.

Out of curiosity, did GM have a two-barrel version of the electronic Quadrajet?
Probably did, but the only thing we ever had was the 81 Sierra pickup, with a 305 and the Dual Jet. Dad never had to rebuild it, so I never got that good of a look at it.
