When I had my '88 GMC, I got a Wolfskin leather cover, when I bought the truck new. That one was all black, and it lasted a long time. 15 years later replaced it again w/a Wolfskin, with the optional '2-tone' ( to match interior),.. the light color wore off and got ugly. ( I complained, but they didn't care) The black color lasts.....
This photo was 5 years ago..... The truck is now in Germany, bought by a collector.
I removed the wheel cover..... The original finish was nearly new.

That steering wheel looks the same as a s10/Sonoma wheel of that late 80’s-90’s gen. I used to live bye 2 car interior shops an I needed my old steering wheel leather redone but they told me it wasn’t a option since it has the wood in it they could cover it all with leather but not make it look like new factory. Since gmt400 Escalades steering wheels like to wear quickly! But luckily I found one for sale cheap off eBay to replace mine but I still have the original one for when time may come I find someone/place that can actually do the job!

Yes, certainly is. I plan on getting mine re-wrapped. I had contacted Craft Customs to inquire the price. They stated, "The cost to reupholster your 1999 Chevy steering wheel to new leather specifications with Baseball stitching is $299 plus shipping. We use only Top of the Line Imported Automotive Leather that exceeds industry standards. Simply send in your steering wheel and we'll take care of the rest. Turnaround is about 3 weeks."

They have photos on their website.
Glad I decided to check the forums first, I didn't find them in my Google search. They're even local to me so I think I'm going to have them do mine.

Make sure they send you photos of the steering wheel before they ship it to you and inspect the photos well. Don't be afraid to ask for closer photos. Check the stitching all the way around. My steering wheel was not to my satisfaction when I saw the photos. I pointed out the defects to the owner. She agreed and said she would take care of it. They had it shipped to me a couple days later and it was all good. But, had I said nothing, I would have received an unsatisfactory product and then have to had shipped it back. (Pain in the butt.)

Since I'm local I plan on just going in person, but yea that was my plan. I'm pretty pick when it comes to fabric, leather, and stitching.

Got any pictures of what you had them do?

Yeah, it's in my build thread. Let me find the page.

Edit: Starting on post #98. This is what I requested on the order form I sent them (I saved a copy to my PC before I sent it):

I've used Wheelskins a couple of times in the past. Most recently on my previous '99 NBS GMC. Lots of colors and options. Not replacement, but a nice leather, stitched overlay cover.
