By the way, you guys catch the price of the pigtail alone up here? What's something like that in your parts?

I have a 92 K2500 454. Are you considering replacing all three sensors and their pigtails as a matter of maintenance or are you having a problem? Sounds like one of them may have cracked from getting overheated, right? Did something happen to cause that or is it just age related heat cycling?

I’ve also thought of replacing the sensors and wondering if I should do it to ensure trouble-free operation…or might I be creating more potential problems.

This subject comes up from time to time.. it's not a TBI vs. Vortec thing, it's more year-model based. My '96 Vortec 7.4 C3500 had the passenger side sensor for the aux fan. Definitely factory original, and the wiring was jacked, as well. :( Pictures around here somewhere of it while I was trying to trace it down to hook it back up when I used that engine/harness/pcm/etc. for the '94 3500HD project.
