My everyday driver is a 2007 Dodge charter I'm planning a future project of replacing the alternator since the battery light came on and probably replaced the battery too while I'm at it. Recently a buddy of mine replaced the steering wheel on it with one I order off car id.com. The steering wheel is too nice for the car. The car is an ongoing project it seems like every vehicle I own is an ongoing project. Even if I am buying a new car off the showroom. To be honest with transportation headaches I feel tempted to convert to being a menonite or amish lol.

Time to plan the project of installing the alternator. Just gotta find a way not to procrastinate. Just gotta find a way not to procrastinate. Fixing your own vehicles after working on customer vehicles you put the pro in procrastination. Yes I wrote the same sentence twice. Really to remind my self to hunker down and do it.

At least on the first gen Mopar LX/LC cars the alternators simply go bad for the most part. Not like the 2nd gen and the other Mopars that share the same alternator (my buddy's Jeep had similar) that go bad and often catch fire!

Well I'm thinking about bringing the Dodge to the same body shop that did the alternator. Because there is some rust on the quarter panels.. Joys of living in the Midwest

If you're seeing some there (common spot for it in rust belt areas of the country) - when you can, get it up on a lift and look on the transmission tunnel around the cats. I've heard a couple instances of them rusting around there, and it can be a tough area to repair.

Don't know if I mentioned it before, but LXFORUMS is a great resource for talk about these cars. They just upgraded software and that slowed down the participation a little bit, but the members are slowly filtering back in. It's a fairly active place.
