My tahoe's glovebox sticker is all smudged up and I need my rpo codes for brakes and an axle replacement coming up soon. I tried going to my local GM dealer and asking for its sheet but they only go as far back as 2003. That's great if I have an 03 but my Tahoe is a 99. Is there any way I can find the RPO codes on the vehicle? I have the original window sticker but its really just a collectors item at this point.

You can try compnine dot com - there was a member that paid for a membership and was running everyone's reports as a courtesy, but you can also pay a few bucks to run your own.

The older your truck is the less likely it will come up - and in my experience, if the dealer couldn't pull it, compnine can't either, but it's been years since I tried to run any old GMT400 VIN's through either source.

GM Canada retains all the data for every vehicle they've sold here back to at least the early '60's.
Got the RPO's for my '97 with just the serial number at the local dealership. Took the parts guy less than 5 minutes.
I got the RPO's for my '70 Nova the same way, back in '81.
When I was getting the '97's codes, I asked the parts guy if he could still find my the ones for my Nova.
"No problem. Got the serial number?"
That was in 2017!

I think it was @1ton-o-fun who had the vin decoder.
Yes it is, he's run two for me. You get a breakdown of what regular production options with the codes, and explanation of what they are. Also how many trucks were built with each option. For instance, my Burb is one of 270,000 or so built in '99 model year. Of those, over 91,000 were painted code 11 pewter.
