My new to me truck needed AC charged. There are adapters on the R12 hoses to fit R134 adapters BUT the schraders are leaking. Can anyone recommend an adapter that works with the R12 valves in place or a kit that will work on the low side after I remove the stock schrader?

You may want to post pictures of what you are asking. If your R12 ports already have R134 gauge adapters on them, then why not just replace only the schrader valve with a new one? Mastercool makes a cool tool to allow you to replace the schrader valves with the system charged. Its only like $50 and will save you a trip to the shop for recovery. Or this knock-off is only $20. I think I have some really crappy adapters on there and the system is empty. I will put some new schraders in and hoping to find an adapter that doesn't have its own schrader or if it does it allows me to remove the stock schrader. The schrader on schrader violence thats happening in my AC line is the issue.

My adapters have a floating pin in them to depress the original Schrader valve in the R12 fitting. I agree you don't want to double up on those valves.
